Volunteer Programs

Volunteer ethically with Ujamaa Volunteer Experience! We understand the value of volunteering abroad, and how shared knowledge can be greatly beneficial for development of both yourself and our placements. Volunteer programs include all accomodation, 3 meals per day, orientation, 24/7 in-country support, a city tour, and your incredible placement!

At Ujamaa Hostel and Volunteer experience, we are fortunate enough to work with a range of incredible schools, hospitals, homes and organisations which focus on improving the education and healthcare standards in Arusha City. We have a strong belief that education and sharing knowledge is the key to development, hence our volunteer program, which receives a range of wonderful volunteers who have specialties in the relevant fields. 

An integral part of the Ujamaa Volunteer Experience, is our donation initiative. A portion of each volunteers accommodation fee, along with every Maze Safari booking, is donated directly to one of our placements at the end of each month. The funds can be used to purchase needed supplies, such as medical supplies or stationary, the funds may be used to help cover salaries fees the placement may have, or the funds can be directly donated to ongoing projects within the organisation, such as the construction of a classroom.
